Lighting: Crassula Ovata or Jade plants need very bright light. Some Crassula varieties develop a beautiful red edge on their leaves when exposed to bright sunlight.
Water: Jade are succulent plants so allow the soil to dry out a bit before thoroughly watering. Water when and then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again
Soil: Use a well-aerated and fast draining potting soil You can add perlite, coarse sand, or pumice to the soil to improve aeration.
Temperature: Jade plants can survive in almost any moderate temperature, but prefer 75°-85° during the day and 65°-70° at night. Temperatures below 45° F can damage the leaves and cause them to drop.
